About Me
I am a 20 year old radio journalist from Perth, Western Australia.
Experience
RTRFM - 2016 to Present
I started producing the Friday morning show “Artbeat” at RTRFM in March, 2016. Since then I have also completed the presenting course RTRFM offers and have been presenting numerous day time shows (which often includes three separate interviews per hour) as well as overnight shows. I have also been executive producer of the new Saturday breakfast program “Get Up Morning”, and produce the Monday to Thursday morning talks program “The Mag”. edit pre-recorded interviews, write intros for the presenter, and find talents and topics for interview segments. In the numerous times the executive producer has not been able to make it to work due to unforeseen circumstances, I have been able to fill for them. I have also panelled in live outside broadcasts for the station.
Lost Online - 2016
I started reviewing music and concerts in August, 2016. I attended a number of live shows to review for the Lost Online Magazine and album reviews.
Western Independent - 2015
I started writing articles for the Western Independent in 2016. This online newspaper publishes articles written by Curtin University journalism students. I have published 3 articles on the site, and have received positive feedback in terms of subject matter and quality of writing.
Curtin FM - 2017
I started producing news bulletins for Curtin FM in the beginning of 2017. During my time there I would spend 4 hours weekly in the office using the common newsroom software “Newsboss” to write news bulletins to be read each hour live on the station by newsreader Les Welsh. During my time at the station, I received excellent feedback from Les - especially regarding my speed and accuracy.
